NAD Issues Response to Recent Deaths and Racial Turmoil
UPDATED Response to Governor Kemp's Recent COVID-19 Announcement
Dear Church Family,
As of Wednesday, March 18, the South Atlantic Conference has directed that all of its churches be closed until further notice. Therefore, all in-person services and programs at Ebenezer: AYS, prayer meetings, morning and evening, Pathfinders and all other departmental meetings, with the exception of Community Services food distribution, will be suspended. However, we will live stream a virtual service beginning on Sabbath, March 21, at 11:00 am. You may tune in at: YouTube.com/c/
Furthermore, beginning tomorrow, Friday, March 20, we will be communicating to the church membership in addition to our website, via text, emails and voice message when you call the church number, at (706) 738-1119. Additionally, we invite you to like our Facebook page at Ebenezer Seventh Day Adventist Church, and you will receive regular updates. Please use these vehicles to stay abreast of any updates. Moreover, during this period of uncertainty, we are asking that you remain faithful in returning your tithe and offering. Although will not be conducting in-person services and meetings, we still have financial obligations that we must meet. We are grateful for your faithfulness so far this year and we trust that you will continue to support God's work at Ebenezer. You can contribute online at Cash App, $EbnzrSDAAUG. We are also signing up for Paypal and Adventist Giving as well. As soon as we receive the login information we will pass that along to you. If you can not contribute online, please let us know and we will provide you with information of when you can personally turn in your tithes and offerings. Again, we thank you for your continued, faithful support.
Finally, it was voted, Thursday, March 19, that General Conference will be postponed until May 2021. The current General Conference and Division officers will continue to serve until then. Also at this time, Camp Meeting is still scheduled for June 4-13. However, the conference will continue to evaluate as the appointed time draws near.
Church family, we are in the midst of very trying times. However God in still in control and He will empower His church to carry out its mission of reaching others with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Continue to pray for our country and its leaders, that God would grant them wisdom, our community as well as our church family, that God will keep us all healthy and safe from harm. May God continue to bless you and your family as you continue to serve him.
