Fifty Plus Club These young at heart seniors surely know how to have a good time in the Lord. They are often taking wonderful excursions to places far and near. Most recently they traveled to Cherokee NC, to the Native American Reservation. From there they rolled into the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Head Deacon The Head Deacon, Brother Jonas Whitley, work with all deacons to insure that the members are provided for, that the church is safe and well maintained, inside and out. He is the longest active member of the Golden Bell Quartet. These gentlemen frequent hospital, nursing homes, and the sick and shut-ins on a regular basis to carry the word of God in song.
Health Ministries Dr. Grace Crawford, M.D. is the Health Ministries Leader. The Health Ministries is not only about assisting our members with living healthier, happier lives; it is also about reaching out to the surrounding community. The obligations we owe to God in presenting to Him clean, pure, healthy bodies are not comprehended (MS 49, 1897). The living organism is God's property. It belongs to Him by creation and by redemption; and by a misuse of any of our powers we rob God of the honor due to Him (Letter 73a, 1896). A failure to care for the living machinery is an insult to the Creator. There are divinely appointed rules which if observed will keep human beings from disease and premature death (Letter 120, 1901).
Pathfinder Club The Pathfinder Club is Sister Helen Norris. The Pathfinder Club is part of a world-wide co-ed scouting type organization sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Prayer Team Sister Annie Lou Brown is a prayer warrior indeed. She loves the Lord and she loves people. She knows how to connect with heaven in prayer. She and her team will pray with you and for you and your situation. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Religious Liberty Religious Liberty Leader is Elder Clinton Jones Sr. Equipping the church body and community to exercise their God-given Freedom of choice... A free gift purchased with His own blood. We must strive to protect the freedom of all to worship God, according to the dictates of their heart and conscious, because we believe and proclaim this great and wonderful Gospel of Jesus as our only source of true freedom.
STEWARDSHIP God has appointed each of us as stewards. He then asks the question, "Will a man rob God?" How do you answer this question relative to your pattern of returning tithe and offering? Remember, God is not only listening, but He is watching too. Be faithful in all that you do; and do it all to the glory of God. By the way, when I first understood that you cannot steal from God, you can only rob Him, I was amazed. Steal comes from the word stealth, which means to do something without others having knowledge. Since God knows everything, we cannot steal from Him. We can only ROB Him.
The Golden Bells The Golden Bells are ministers of God. They do more than sing during the divine worship hour or performing in programs of the church. These men are frequently found in nursing homes and in the hospitals singing to the sick. Their songs are encouraging to those who are experiencing difficult times in their lives. The Golden Bells lift Jesus up in songs as they praise Him with their gifts and talents. The also visit the sick and shut-ins in their homes; offering prayer, scriptures, words of encouragement, and beautiful songs. These are God's men. They are "The Golden Bells."
Treasurer The treasurer office, headed by Sister Ruth Moore, handle the sacred tithe and offering. Their goal is to see all members return a faitful tithe and give a liberal offering to God. They are now skilled with computers and the conference software programs. Next is to have online tithe and offering for members who have moved away, or those who are sick and shut in, or away on an extended vacation; so that they can make their return from any computer.
